Well developed port. Excursions at welcome centre were fraction of the price of ship for same experience, and hop-on-hop-off shuttles got us to every location for the day very cost effectively.

Take reef shoes, due to coral. Snorkel if you can, either take your own or you can hire. Use local currency & buy from markets.

I always enjoy Nomea. They have such beautiful views. Its not great for shopping because everything is expensive but food and scenic tours are the best. This time we went Segway riding through the Botanical Gardens. It has a tiny zoo (bird enclosures plus a few other surprises) in the gardens and some great lookouts. Was a great day and a less strenuous activity to do in the heat. Definitely recommend

A beautiful little civilized gem in the pacific. Like the French Riviera in a tropical environment. Excellent food, nice beaches and venues, cleanliness (except the ugly graffiti everywhere)

The french are rude. The port okay for a supermarket trip. Next time we might try an excursion.

We caught the free shuttle bus into the city and then boarded the HOHO bus (if you purchase the tickets at the bus terminus, they are half the cost of getting them onboard the ship) for a circuit of the island which gave us a good overview of places to visit. Enjoyed strolling through the city and having coffee and cake in Coconut Square, in the centre of the city. A lovely place to visit!
