Very surprised from our previous visits. This place has really cleaned up its act. I liked it.

Another hop on hop off bus. $10 for all day. Plus they take you to three beaches. There is a lot of shopping. And a china town

Did not enjoy this port. Many shops were closed due to a protest and those that were open, the owners were not very helpful and seemed to have attitude. It was also very expensive here. Where the ship is docked is not very nice. It is a shipping dick so you have to take a bus (free) into town.

We went to Amedee Island, it was nice, but, at the end it started raining. It was also a long time at the Island with not much to do there. The food was good. By the end, everyone was ready to leave. Also, it's a speed boat that takes you to the Island, so if you get seasick, take something. It was a very pretty Island to walk around.

We took a scenic drive excursion around. We saw quite a few good sites including the lookout and rode on the petite train. There was a museum in the city which was interesting and a decent amount of shopping, although as has been said the prices were expensive. It was interesting to note the marked difference between the British and French parts of the city.

We found that this place was far to expensive we used AUSD money we bought 2 Chocolate Eclairs and 2 Cokes $28.00 We took the Hop on Hop Off Bus great price and we saw lots. Every port we went into took AUSD but it is good to have some FJD as well as Francs in Noumea
