The San Antonio Port is two hours away from Santiago. The best way to get to and from San Antonio is to take a tour that takes you to Vina del Mar and Valparaiso in the way there. The embarking and debarking process are very slow. You make line after line. The terminals are in cargo piers and have to take a shuttle bus from the terminal to the ship.

Wanted to take the cheap route to Santiago so opted for the Pullman bus. Easy to find at the port and cheap. It is a one and a half hour bus ride to the main bus stop in Santiago. Found a taxi inside the bus terminal and got an inexpensive ride to our hotel. Please be advised that taxis on the street were not recommended by our port agent telling us to be sure and book a taxi from inside the bus station, These drivers wear white dress shirts .

Nothing at all to see here, we would have much preferred Valparaiso. Not one taxi drive in all of Chile or Argentina spoke English. Very difficult getting around, especially in San Antonio.
