The only thing to do in Manta is to go to the neighboring town Montecristo and buy a Panama hat. We didn;'t want to buy a hat so took a short walk around Manta.

tour: ecuador tour and dance. Not a well-managed tour. Too many people for the dance, although it was nice.

This is an industrial port so not much to see at the port itself. We took the city bus to a tourist spot at Montecristi.

Took a taxi to the town of Montechristi where the Panama hats are made. As it was Sunday, there was a huge flea market. Manta was also nice—beach, mall, seafood restaurants.

Motecristi & Manta Highlights tour - It was more Motecristi than Manta. It showed a different perspective on life.

There was a bad accident in town, and there was no way to contact the ship for the land tour operator
