Antigua Tour – Took the city tour and, luckily, saw the Good Friday processions. While we probably wouldn’t have booked the excursion for just the processions, it was awesome seeing it.

They had a big clean, no hassle shopping area (for cruiser only) with entertainment (music and dancing).

Similar to Nicaragua here almost all the ship excursions went to Antigua and the Jade Museum. Which was fun and interesting, but we were bombarded with street vendors from the moment you got off the tour bus till you got back on at each stop. There was a great shopping right at the pier for all your souvenier needs.

Due to road construction our tour bus could not make it to the Myon ruins but we visited Antigua instead that was disappointing

Despite being with a large cruise, I was nervous about touring Guatemala, as an unstable country with high crime rates and only shopped for souvenirs nearby. Others reported they enjoyed their excursions.
