Review summary

Costa Rica was switch for Guatemala. Really wanted to see Costa Rica. Tendering was a real issue in every port. You would think that a cruise line would have a working system.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Slow process. went early. Had key issues from the time they were handed to me until Guest Relations corrected the issue on the ship. When they handed me the key they told me there was an issue but didn't address it. It was an issue at every security check getting on the ship.

room steward, Iwayan, was wonderful. very clean. We did B2B cruises (31 days) and were fine with storage, comfort and balcony

Ship tip

Be aware that your cruise director makes all the difference in your experience. The cruise director on this cruise was invisible. Our second cruise was totally different. Alejandro was excellent. What a difference he made!!!

A good port to skip. We waited over 2.5 hrs. just in a tender line. were in port noon to 6 pm, so there was no time. even folks who had ship excursions missed the experience. crowded and very touristy. Skip this port.
