This was a very dirty part of Costa Rica and there is nothing to see in Puerto Limon. Book a tour if you have a chance. We were booked on a tour that was cancelled for lack of interest. The problem is that the good parts are hours away so every tour was about 9 hours with 6 hours of roundtrip travel.

The train. boat and the bus tour was great. Enjoyed the banana plantation visit very interesting. The same with the boat ride, saw lots of sloths, birds, and monkeys.
