Going through the locks was interesting and the engineering is impressive, especially since it was done a century ago already. Some folks planned an excursion ( through the second set of locks going into the Pacific) but it was canceled because there was not enough time. I don’t think it would’ve been different.

Very interesting. Ship enters early am at the approach around 5 am and enters around 6. Great view from Crows Nest with local narrator, coffee and rolls provided. Catch the view from the stern as the ship enters the second and third channel as you may get a view of another ship entering.
