Short boat ride to the walled city and the thing I remember most about it was the swarm of vendors attacking the boat when we docked. The walled city is really neat and the 2 hours that we were there is not enough time. I would have loved to see more. The vendors are a real nuisance but I don't think anything can be done about that. Just be prepared if you go.

We didn't do an excursion or even go into the old city, as we've been here before. I thoroughly enjyed the little area at the end of the port though. I wanted to at least get off the ship, and this little areas with the gorgeous birds, was perfect to fill the hour I wanted to stay ashore.

Everything to do is too far from the Port. The city is very dirty.

Great shops. Take a Taxi with a guide to the Old City, well worth the time and expense.

Was looking forward to seeing and wandering around the old town, but street hawkers everywhere and all over you. The level of obtrusiveness was far beyond any similar prior experience in any other place like that. So annoying that we went right back to the ship after not even half an hour in town. The least enjoyable stop by far on that cruise (L.A. to Miami).

Go for the Best of Cartegna Tour. It's fantastic and well worth the cost.

Street vendors were over the top aggressive, would not stop bothering you. But we did enjoy learning about the culture of Columbia. The city was very busy and there was alot of traffic.

They have a animal sanctuary at the exit of the pier. Lots of exotic rescued animals, birds, monkeys, turtles.

Hot, humid but lots of historic buildings in the old walled city. Take a cab from the docks or one of the tours.
