This was a pleasant surprise as I had no idea what to expect. Took the 'Hop and Stop' excursion. We got off on stop 15 and followed the tour guide through the old city. A lot of beautiful architecture. My sister-n-law said it reminded her of a cleaner French Quarter in New Orleans. I was interested in the history of piracy that apparently was a big part of the city.

We went to the fort and to old town. Architecture is fantastic. The only problem is the street vendors are very pushy, and once you buy from one the rest decend on you like vultures.

Extremely hot. The street vendors were very aggressive and they did not leave you alone. The sites were ok to see. Would I go back? Probably no. Not worth getting off the ship.

I loved this port! Make sure to exchange some dollars for pesos. Not every place took dollars. We got on the hop on hop off bus. I can't recommend it enough.

A wonderful "old city" we took the tour that included the fortress (steep climb), and the cathedral as well as the old city (lots of street vendors) It was a great tour & guide.

The best port visited on this cruise, a great natural wildlife area, shops and restaurant. Did a city tour that was great. Paid $45 total for a 3 hour tour. If im honest way to many street sellers at every stop just constantly hounding you to buy rubbish.
