We did an old city tour and except for the annoying street peddlers it was very good. The guide was knowledgeable and really explained things well we went up La Popa and got to see the fort and monastery as well as other famous local landmarks

Do Not Trust Cab Drivers At the pier we took a cab at a fixed fare of $10 to a specific store that was recommended on the ship. He took us to a store his friend owned. They were super pushy. I refused to buy anything. The cab driver said it would cost $20 to get back to the port plus $10 for his tip. I had to pay up front. There were no other cabs in the area so I gave him $30. He said that was for 1 person. He needed another $20 for my husband. If I am ever on a cruise that stops here again I am not leaving the ship.

This was my favorite city by far. The tour was excellent. We went to the fort, the Inquisition Palace, The Emerald Museum, the Naval Museum, the Church of San Pedro Malver, and walked around town. Very complete tour. We just loved everything we saw. Vendors were not pushy at all. Good bargains.

Our Guide was very Knowledgeable and shared his country's history with us while visiting Old Town. We were given enough time as well to do some shopping and exploring of our own. This Port was very organized and made the process seamless!

Perhaps give people a ‘heads up’ about the very pushy locals trying to sell their souvenirs and trinkets. They were very annoying, but Cartagena itself is lovely.

Kinda reminds you of Miami when coming into port. It’s a very beautiful city to visit I would like to go back there and see more of the city. We did the walking tour while there it was very informative.

Get a taxi into the Old Town (a UNESCO world heritage site) takes about 15 minutes for $15-$20, and explore yourself - much better than organised tour (they take you to a emerald factory!!)
