I left the protected port area by myself (not the best idea for a female alone) but I found a few local artists to purchase woodwork from and walked to the museum for a tour. I obtained a tour guide, I'm not sure it was my choice but he turned out the be great and it helped me feel safer that he knew everyone.

We did the Lamanai Ruins and our guides Edgar & Elmer were fantastic with our kids. They really enjoyed learning about the ruins.

cave tubing was awesome! Enjoy the rainforest and Monkeys. Realize to get there you will see very very poor areas

Did Mayan ruins and cave tubing through Belize fun tours. Roberto was our guide. We got to do and see a lot more then the carnival Cruise line excursion. He got us back in time and got us great food. He was phenomenal! DISCLAIMER FOR THIS PORT THEY WILL NOT LET YOU OFF ON THE ISLAND WITHOUT A BOOKED EXCURSION!!!
