I really enjoyed the size of the ship. it was so accommodating for the number of people cruising. Lots of hot tubs, adult only area, comedy club was huge, the number of floors with common areas and the dining room. (scarlet).
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The buffet was ok, but we chose to eat in the dining room as much as possible.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We enjoyed the sea day bbq, playing bag toss, hot tubs, adult only area. I think limited internet for $5 a day was nice.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
I only went to the comedy club, really great PG shows. saw the juggler and musicians in the common area - the best was the classical music just before dinner
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Harry was our lead waiter in the dining room, he and his helpers were wonderful. The cabin service was just adequate, better on other cruises. I requested bathrobes, extra pillows and evening cleaning. He never brought the requests, and he was in our room at 8pm, instead of 6 or so while we were at dinner. Maybe too many rooms for him. We had expert service in Baltimore.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
I had read about a smell in the 6th floor hall (sewage) it was there on and off, but not in my cabin. Overall the ship was very clean, it is ready for dry dock in a couple of weeks though.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Just as we had expected and experienced before, lots of space to put things away. the only possible negatives The TV was small but fine. The mattress needs changing, it is starting to dip.
Ship tip
Eat in the dining room as much as possible, enjoy the adult only area.
shop furthest from the boat, or when you get off a bus do not buy anything until you have priced all stalls. Green Bay backpack $35 near the bus, $20 on the beach, I asked why and the Vendor with $20 said he makes them and sells them to the vendor for $35. Be ready to say no to every one trying to sell you something. You would be better to give them cash for free.
