This is the second time I've been to Belize and although our cave tubing excursion was enjoyable, the city itself is like a huge dump. If you are visiting this port, you will definitely want to book an excursion as the city itself is dirty, littered and unsafe to explore on your own.

Took an excursion to the Altun Ha Ruins..place was amazing and learned some history of the Mayans but its very vague and still has to be researched more.want to visit the Xunantunich Ruins next..

Belize was a very nice port with the typical souvenir shops along the way. Very easy to navigate. We did the tale of two cities tour where we took a bus tour through Belize city and then drove to Altun Ha to see the famous Mayan ruins there. Both were very nice and didnt require too much walking.

Stayed on ship with sick teenager but went here on last cruise. It has some great excursions but be prepared for lots of security and it's a very poor country. A lot if Americans cant handle it..

Roads were awful. Went on a walk in the jungle. Paths were muddy. Although, they were putting down sand and wood chip to make it a little better walking. The tour was great.

Gorgeous clear water. We did snorkeling with sharks and rays in Shark and Ray Alley and enjoyed lunch on an island. Very pleasant people and cheap souvenirs.
