Did not do an excursion in this port. We did however go into the cruise terminal and do some shopping. The prices are of course very high, but the overall environment is friendly as are the people.

Excellent excursion for snorkeling, through Splash Wave Tours. We got to do so much more than those who booked through Carnival. NEVER book through the cruiseline for excursions.

If you don't do an excursion there isn't much to do in Belize City. We did the cave tubing and zip lining, it was fantastic!

Really love cave tubing with EcoTour Belize (from Skymiles) I'm 72 and pretty fit. If you can walk 30 minutes, do this one. Cave tubing with some other companies require participants to carry their own tubes.

We visited the Maya ruins of Xunantunich and it was astounding. It is a 2-hour drive from the port (after taking a 30-minute tender from the ship to the pier.
