What we saw was okay, went on an excursion where we were to swim with the sharks & stingray. The seas were so rough that it should have been cancelled.

We did the Calipso Train around town and found it very informative. The braiding ladies in the terminals were too aggressive. The water shuttle took too long and had to wait way too long for it to ill for the ride back to the ship.

Here we did an air boat ride to see feeding manatees. The description was not clear in that the manatees are only sometimes there, and I didn't appreciate that I was 'expecting' to see them, and not just 'hoping' to see them. The company did a great job running the excursion and though a bit disappointed in not seeing any manatees, we still had a good time.

We took the Belize City and Altun-Hu tour. The tour guide was exceptional (wish we could remember her name). Our problem was the ride from the city to the Altun-Hu ruins, over 20 miles of the most horrible road ever traveled; very narrow, full of pot-holes, and very bumpy for those with a bad back. You would think that four (4) cruise lines could get together and make a sizable donation to the city of Belize to repair and widen this road. Money talks.

No options for small children. Adults tendered to port. Lots of shops selling the same thing. Expensive! Fried fish $17. Pina colada $14.

We did the Rum Tasting excursion, it was a great excursion. It was interesting to see the city and get some information about it while we were on our way to our destination.

We booked an excurision through Shore Trips to tour the city - It was a scary, unclean and appeared to be a third world country. All the trash from the island flows into the sea. We all aborted and had our driver take us back to the ship. I think if you book a snorkeling excursion that never goes into the city you would be better off.
