Review summary

Our ship was great, even though we were avoiding a hurricane. The stewards, waitresses, and staff were outstanding. They were a little hard to understand sometimes due to their heavy accents. My wife and I were ot thrilled by the trip because the weather was terrible, trying to avoid the hurricane.

Our waitresses, Monolyn Padilla and Dionne Clark were exceptional. They always made a special effort to ensure our comfort and needs. It was an added pleasure to have them serve us. Even our steward Arlan made sure our room was tidy and clean, making sure we had planty of ice and the comforts as if we were at home.

We took the Belize City and Altun-Hu tour. The tour guide was exceptional (wish we could remember her name). Our problem was the ride from the city to the Altun-Hu ruins, over 20 miles of the most horrible road ever traveled; very narrow, full of pot-holes, and very bumpy for those with a bad back. You would think that four (4) cruise lines could get together and make a sizable donation to the city of Belize to repair and widen this road. Money talks.

We took the Roaton Special Island tour. Even though we were cramped into a small mini-bus, the guide was excellent. The weather was not on our side, but the stops we made were informative.
