Port officials would not let anyone off the ship because we had too many cases of norovirus.

The port excursion was good. Guide had a fantastic sense of humor and was very knowledgeable. Sadly, a passenger died while aboard ship. Felt terrible for the family. Was interesting watching Omani officials frustrate the ship's officers from our balcony.

Locals taxis take advantage of tourists, especially port side. Heard some horror stories crom other cruise members. Fortunate my street smarts prevailed and i had to verbally/forcefully negotiate costs

Interesting location and excursion was interesting but could have been a lot better if a bit of innovation had been applied
