Just the most memorable cruise ever. A fantastic friendly buzz round the ship. Lovely ports of call but the Suez Canal transient was the highlight! Great ship staff and entertainment

Embarkation

This was probably our most memorable ever. The passage through the Suez Canal was just breathtaking. Ship and staff were great as usual. There was such a friendly feel with a constant buzz of anticipation!!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We tend to use the Chops Grille and Giovannis Table on the first 2 nights as there is usually a BOGOF offer on to encourage guests to use them. Great value and well worth the extra. Steaks were luscious and tender. Service excellent. Evenings we used Windjammer and the main dining room. Windjammer is more flexible when a good show is on . Both have great food. Breakfast was taken in the main dining room to avoid the horrendous queues in the Windjammer. Still a buffet but so much more comfortable!!

Onboard Activities

Not an awful lot to do on this ship. Weather was so good that we spent the days on the deck not on our balcony. There were quizzes and dance lessons as well as officers doing cooking competitions. Most took part in The Centrum which was ideal as our cabin was right by it

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Excellent shows and music in the Centrum. Other entertainment took place in the theatre. All very entertaining with lots of variety

Service and Staff

All the staff were amazing. Our cabin steward was lovely keeping our room spotless. Our request for daily ice was never forgotten. Bar staff remembered our names and drinks. We used the concierge lounge which overlooked the ocean. All staff in both the Windjammer and main dining room were friendly and attentive!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
All the ship was constantly being cleaned. You are encouraged to wash your hands frequently. The ship is nicely set up and all parts are easy to find after a couple of days

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our balcony stateroom was brilliant situated right by the Centrum. We spent many hours sitting watching our progress. Kept very clean. Well appointed and enough storage space for us

Ship tip

Take advantage of all the shows and entertainment

We went to Bethlehem which was amazing. A bit too touristy for our liking but still good to see. Saw lots of churches etc. Beware taken to a souvenir shop and kept there for 45 minutes. Mostly a lot of expensive rubbish

Ashdod, Israel Did not visit port

It was cancelled due to high winds and storms

A bit false but fascinating to see. So expensive. Went to see the fountains dancing in time to music overlooking the Burge Kalifa. So so hot and humid!!
