There were no tours offered in this port so I did a tour of the city with Viator, which was great, and they picked me up and dropped me off at the ship in plenty of time.
A full day trip to amazing Petra. Not as difficult as I feared. Not too hot. Seabourn crew had set up a refreshment stop in the desert half way back to the ship, which was a lovely surprise !
This is a lovely city, but I was mistakenly put on the wrong bus and went on a boring tour of private museums instead of a dhow cruise. I received apologies and refund, but disappointing.
Encore emptied it’s facilities onto the island for a beach barbecue and caviar in the surf. Perfect! Also did a safari drive of the reserve which was amazing!
