Awful place. Really run down and dirty. Would recommend going on hotel with beach excursion. Don’t bother paying $70 like we did for a taxi to drive us round. Wish we’d stayed onboard!

We didn't like the place, nothing to see. A waste of time. We have been in India 3 times on a land tour, and this was the worst place we have been. We would not return.

Our waiter was a local he recommended Bogmalo beach 🏖 you will defiantly need a taxi to drive you and wait so bit of haggling required. The beach was lovely nice eatery’s cold beer and a few shops nice day.

Visited the beach here and although it was nice it was not a patch on new mangalore. Taxi cost 30 dollars. There is sun beds but take your towel as these are hard to get.

Hired a taxi outside the port. He took us to a local beach where we spent the day. He waited for us and drove us back to the port. Negotiate the price before leaving. Our trip cost 80U.S. After speaking with others we probably could have done better. Not bad by our standards, but expensive by theirs. Regardless, we had a great day.

Yes. Tour was for 7 hrs but everything was either closed or under construction. Dirty streets and environment. We spent 2 hrs in restaurant since there was nothing else to do.
