Review summary

The worst part of the whole cruise was trying to organise the visas on line for t India. It’s not difficult just frustrating. I feel this is a cruise that is definitely worth a visit.

Embarkation

Quick and smooth. Although we copied our visas and passports but they did all this at the port.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Service and food fantastic. We only used the main dining and buffet.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We used the fitness centre and it was fine. The quiz was good fun and the silent disco was a great laugh.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The stage shows by the cast were ok but some of the independent entertainers were great. We had 2 djs one was better than the other.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Stateroom attendants make life easier as they really look after you and your room. The waiters and waitresses are very attentive. The dining room servers really ma

Ship Quality

Everywhere was clean however I much prefer the layout of royal Caribbean as I feel it is easier to find your way around.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin is practical. Not a great deal of room to move but for all the time you actually use it, it is fine. The dressing gowns are waffle type and were not so nice to wear and no slippers are supplied. There is also no kettle in the room for tea or coffee. You can ask your room attendant and they can supply.

Ship tip

If going to the martini cruise bar go early as this is a very busy bar and at peak times it can take a while to get served.

Ports of call

Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.

Great time on the off road dessert safari. Cost £172 for two. You stop for a break for refreshments and you can ride a camel and sand surf all included in the price.

Muscat, Oman

Not too impressed with this port as it was small and if you don’t do an organised tour and go for a walk it’s busy congested and the sook is mobbed and exremely busy with everyone leaving the ship.

Cochin, India

Organised our own taxi tour which is a cheaper way to see the sights. Our driver took us all over and stopped for us to get out and wander. We had the taxi for 4 hours fir 50 dollars and you pay at the end of your trip.

New Mangalore Port, India

5 out of 5
Took a taxi for 30 dollars to the Tannirbhavi beach. It was beautiful and although it’s not set up for tourists it was one of the nicest beaches I’ve seen. Be prepared for locals to ask for a selfie as they don’t see other nationalities often. Tip - take some snacks and water with you and also a towel as there are no beds etc

Mormugao (Goa), India

Visited the beach here and although it was nice it was not a patch on new mangalore. Taxi cost 30 dollars. There is sun beds but take your towel as these are hard to get.

Mumbai (Bombay), India

Beautiful city and buildings. Amazing architecture. The biz of this place was totally different from the others. Be prepared if you go walking as there are beggars and they are usually kids. On leaving the ship you are harassed by taxi guys wanting to take you around and can get quite aggressive if you say no. We walked into town and visited the gates of India. This is about 1.5 miles over busy roads etc. And the traffic is something else. Lots of horns tooting but no road rage. Visited the museum that cost 2200 rupees. Paid on credit card which worked out at £24 for 4 people. Again we were asked for selfies by the locals.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Totally efficient
