Hidden Gem of the Trip!! Go on a city tour that includes a visit to a Buddhist temple, a Hindu Shrine, museum, etc. Wonderful tour. Very friendly people.

After India, this port was amazingly clean!! People were friendly, traffic was considerably less. Again, we had booked a private city tour prior to leaving.

We visited a week before the Easter Sunday atrocities. This is such as shame as Colombo is a beautiful city with wonderful friendly people who have done so much to recover from the conflict some 10 years ago.
