If you go on the Discovery Tour of the Mayan Ruins, hope you meet Cruz. His passion for his culture will pull you in as you become part of the "family".

We didn't do an excursion here. I loved the beach very pretty. We just didn't like that every second someone was coming up to us asking for money. We couldn't enjoy it. But we loved the shops!

No excursions here. We went into town and ate lunch on the beach. Excellent service, had a great time, but the town itself left a bit lacking. Would probably be okay for an all-inclusive week's stay and excursions to the ruins. Too short a stay to really enjoy the excursions.

We had paid for a Carnival excursion (Mayapan ruins, lazy river, cenote & lunch) but cancelled due to stress/concern/anxiety that we’d be rushed & unable to enjoy/receive what we paid due to ship’s late arrival and crew’s inhospitable actions). Instead we went to Luna Lunera and enjoyed excellent hospitality at a secluded beach with pool, bar, and meal (all inclusive PLUS free transportation!). It was so relaxing. Thank you, Jose & Santos!

We did the excursion to Chichen Itza Ikkil with lunch at the Cenote. The transportation and guide was amazing. Very efficient. Arturo gave us info on the history and then played a movie for the remainder of the ride. When we arrived we were greeted by many vendors trying to sell their items. This didn’t bother us. We just politely said no. The ruins were beautiful and the Cenote was awesome. We jumped off the rock and swam and it was a great experience. We didn’t get to eat lunch cause we decided to spend more time in the Cenote. At chichen itza if you are going to use a gopro to take pics, you have to pay a tax to the government at the gate and they only accept pesos. Any other camera is acceptable.
