This was an overall disappointment. The line to go into the city was over an hour long to get a taxi or bus and the port area stores and restaurants gouge visitors. Not great. I advise to just stay on the ship for this one.

This trip was a sight seeing and taste tour. We got to visit city life, eat tacos, and stop at a bakery demonstration and taste sample. One of my favorite parts was the city park.

While there we experienced 2 to 3 blackouts where nobody had electricity in a kind of killed the vibe at the local cabanas

Progresso is not as nice as Cozumel but we had fun in the open market. The Caronna Beach Party excursion was not that great but the shopping was fun.

The females in our group were a little uncomfortable with this port of call. Also, there was much construction going on in town. Will probably just stay on ship next time Progresso is a port stop.

Will never get off the ship there again. Bathrooms are third world country 😝 Should find a better place to go than Progresso

Port was fine but nothing to do. Only a few shops and then nothing. You need to do an excursion if you want something to do there.
