Review summary

Over all I would get 3 stars the staff other than the bartenders were pretty good the problem was carnival does not have enough bartenders during the busy times at 1 point we waited over 15 minutes to get one drink and this happened on more than 1 occasion also the staff was not paying attention in who was in line 1st as I waited over 15 minutes another person walked up waited less than 30 seconds and with sir before me and this also happened on more than 1 occasion We noticed when it rain some parts of the ship leaked and also we noticed some of the moting was coming off and was being held on by tape Also when I had my bill I noticed 2 charges of $70 for gratuity that I don't ever remember giving

Embarkation

Long

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
The food was pretty good

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The boat was just a little too small for the number of passengers

Entertainment

3 out of 5

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
This is for the bartenders not necessarily the housekeeping

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
I give this to stars but only because I'm comparing it to their other ship carnival pride

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Not a big fan of the twin beds being put together for a king bed a always seems to end up coming apart when sleeping

Ship tip

I would think twice about the drink package because you actually feel pressured into tipping although they include a 18% tip in the cost of the package a $10 drink I tipped $1 roughly 10% so I ended up tipping 28%

Ports of call

Mobile, Alabama

1 out of 5
Not a fan of the pay to park seems how in Baltimore it was free

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
Was not a fan of the vendors being very persistent I felt like I was at a County fair

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

4 out of 5
While there we experienced 2 to 3 blackouts where nobody had electricity in a kind of killed the vibe at the local cabanas

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Very long and drawn out

We were on Fantasy exactly a year ago and never felt pressured to tip more, we also purchased the Cheers pkg. At the end if the cruise, if you don't prepay gratuities, you are charged around $13/day per person.Unless they charged you extra, it was in the contract details.
