Review summary

We took a cruise out of Galveston on the Carnival ship Ecstacy. We had a wonderful time. We were never bored. There were lots of fun things to do on the ship. We took dance lessons, we played bingo, we ALWAYS had something to do. At night, we would go watch the Karaoke, some of us even participated. It was lots of fun. The rooms were very clean, we loved our towel animals. The dining experience was great. The staff was always friendly and we just fell in love with our waitresses. The only complaint we had was that we saw too many underage teenagers getting drunk. This would not have been a problem if we would have went at another time, but we went shortly after graduation. Thank goodness we had good kids in our group who did not participate in these activities are we would have really had a problem. The only suggestion I would make is more supervision of the teenagers. We definitely will make cruises part of our vaction planning each year.

Ports of call

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

Progresso is not as nice as Cozumel but we had fun in the open market. The Caronna Beach Party excursion was not that great but the shopping was fun.
Don't Miss: The Open markets
