Great port. We hiked up to the El Faro lighthouse and the views were amazing. If you do the hike, skip the optional glass bridge, as it was a waste of time. We also took a 1 hour tour on an open air 2-seater vehicle which showed us the highlights in Mazatlan like the salt water pool in the ocean, the Devil's gates, the malecon, the Cathedral and other highlights. We also walked around the neighborhoods checking out the homes.

Went to stone island. Great relaxing day. Much cheaper options than going thru the ship so worth it to shop. We got an all day, all you can eat, all you can drink, with boogie boards, banana boat, etc for $25/person.

Unusually long wait time before our excursion finally took off. Excursion personnel were friendly, but it was billed as going to a secluded "island"...as it turned out it was not an island, but just a beach with a lot of the locals. Food was not good and the restrooms were dirty and no running water. We were expecting an island with a secluded area for our ships passengers, not the local beach.

Did the beach 🏖 resort getaway excursion. Very relaxing! The resort had 5 pools and a very tasty buffet. Must have a t-shirt to enter the restaurant. No swim suits allowed. Beach was beautiful but the vendors can get annoying. In my opinion this port has the best prices for routine souvenir shopping.

I wouldn't go there again and if I took a cruise that stopped there, I would stay on the boat. It was good to see it once but that's enough for me. We did the Mazatlan by Sea and Land. It was a nice excursion. We saw a lot which was nice.

We approach to Mazatlan on the ship was beautiful! I love getting up at sunrise to see us sail into ports. We didn’t do an excursion, but we did walk the blue path to the Cathedral and it was gorgeous! It seemed appropriate to walk to the church as we were there on a Christmas Day. It was very pretty walk to the church and felt very safe. Architecture was beautiful!

The port was crowded and not great. You need to take an excursion here to see anything

We took a cab to the Golden Zone shopping district. It was right on the beach but it was all the regular touristy trinkets at every port. My parents and senior relatives hit up the farmacia to stock up on their meds for low prices. We literally hit the farmacia, walked around for an hour and cabbed back to the ship. The beach was pretty. If we had more time perhaps we would have gone swimming.
