Mazatlan isn’t one of my favorite ports. We did a Salsa and Salsa excursion which was very fun. The beach was so so. We passed through some very rough looking areas on the trip from the port to the excursion resort. Everyone drove crazy too. I probably won’t get off the ship next time.

Rented a van for our party of ten. Driver did a great job of showing us all of the area. Hit the rock divers, a beach, a market place. I have to admit I was concerned about this port but felt very safe.

Did the city tour which was 4 hours and it was a nice tour of the city. Worth the price at 39.99pp. Not much to do if you do not do a excursion at this port as the dock is in the middle of a shipping yard.

In Mazatlan went to a resort in the Golden Zone, Playa Mazatlan, and shopped. When we shop, my heart tells me I will be hitting these little artisan shops and will be seeing different things in each one. As soon as we start to shop, my brain quickly remembers that for the most part, these shops are all selling the same things. That said, it was a pleasant way to spend a day.

Surprisingly this was my favorite. We did an all-inclusive through Carnival. We had great service and the food was really good. We were able to shop when we got back to the ship.
