costly taxi ride, and really nothing to do but modest shopping

Calica is just a sand pit, built for the ship. So in order to see or do anything, you have to take a taxi or bus to the cities or sites. There is no just "walking" around calica.

I didnt get to go this trip was suppose to but due to the hurricane Lee we only went to one port our cruise was cut short. However I have visited her before twice Playa De Carma is the best thing to do I don't recommend Cancun at all.

We went on the coral reef snorkel trip. The only complaint I have was the excursion was too short!

We LOVED visiting the Mayan ruins at Tulum and made a quick visit to the beach at Playa del Carmen, which was very nice. I also heard other people say great things about Playa, like food, drinks (very cheap), shopping, etc. The beach was accessible, free, and gorgeous!

The port was too far away from the city. It was a $10.00 cab ride into the city. No where for the kids to go swimming near the ship. Nothing even walking distance would allow. We were not impressed with this stop at all.

Tulum was nice but the tour guide took the bus to a local shop for over an hour & then we had to cut short our toru time at Tulum. This was very tacky!!!
