The Rain Cruise

Sail Date: December 09, 2006

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Oceanview

Overall we had an outstanding trip. There is plenty of things to do for the kids, which includes the best thing of all, the water slide. It's a salt water pool, which is a little bit of a shock at first, but you get used to it. The ship is huge, so there are all kinds of places to go and things to do. The arcade is expensive and has very few games. This could be changed for sure. The smoking was a little overwhelming at times. I would suggest that they put the smokers in a different area. The kids had a blast and so did we. I would recommend this ship to anyone. Even though we were rained out of every port and most of the excursions were cancelled due to the rain, the ammeneties on the ship made up for the loss. The staff on the ship were simply the best. Leysa and Igor, our waiters at the dining room were from the Ukraine and wonderful people. Our cabin steward was Andre, WOW, what great people, they would bend over backwards to accomodate your every whim.

Thanks to the Carnival Cruise lines for making our trip the best this family has ever taken

Pros: abundance of things to do on the ship for kids

Cons: Smoking and the price of alcohol.

Recommends Carnival Inspiration? Yes!

George Town, Grand Cayman
Was beautiful, but with the horizontal rain, well it made it hard to do anything. We wanted to do the Pirate Cruise. The kids wanted me to walk the plank. But sadly, this was not to happen.
Calica, Mexico
The port was too far away from the city. It was a $10.00 cab ride into the city. No where for the kids to go swimming near the ship. Nothing even walking distance would allow. We were not impressed with this stop at all.
