Beautiful!!! Peaceful, great people, food is wonderful, tour to waterfall, and fern grotto is easy walk, you easily forget the world in there.

Kauai is our favorite Hawaiian island! We rented a car and set off to our favorite spots on the island! The rental car places pick you up at the port. So everything is easy and efficient!

Kauai is refered to as the "Garden Island", and for good reason. It is very green in most places. All the islands have a windward and leeward side. The windward side receives more rain and is usually greener. Don't miss "Waimea Canyon" and you must go all the way to the top. The view is absolutely spectacular! Also, drive the highway to "Princeville" and be sure to go all the way to the end of the road! It is the best.

Moped place just outside of where you dock is worth the price. If you have an adventurous spirit, (and are ok with sharing the road with autos) this was fantastic. You get to see the waterfalls and sights that the locals go to, and not many people get to see. Wear your swimsuit, and go to Kaipu falls - the rope swing is scary but really cool. Ship excursion with Kayaks and hiking was great too. Many people we talked to said that the heli tours were worth the price.

We loved this Isalnd it is our favorite of all that we visited. There are no particular restaurants . It is the overall beauty of the island and the fact that it is probably closer to being more in line to an original Island than those with all the shopping malls directly off of ship. The best thing to do is rent a car and travel the island as we did venture out on your own and see the beauty of this island and its people.

Simply beautiful and lush. The luau was well done but that venue could work on their seating and viewing. It was pricey not to be able to see any better.
