Review summary

Especially for the family or budget minded, this is a great way to get a taste of the islands. If you have cruised before, you may be disappointed with the level of service, and the overall quality of the food and ship itself. However, if you are less interested in the nuiances of 'haute cruising' this is a fabulous trip/ship.

Ports of call

Nawiliwili, Kauai

Moped place just outside of where you dock is worth the price. If you have an adventurous spirit, (and are ok with sharing the road with autos) this was fantastic. You get to see the waterfalls and sights that the locals go to, and not many people get to see. Wear your swimsuit, and go to Kaipu falls - the rope swing is scary but really cool. Ship excursion with Kayaks and hiking was great too. Many people we talked to said that the heli tours were worth the price.
Don't Miss: This is the most beautiful place...see as much as you can

Black sand and snorkel kind of a disappointment. Heard that the beach blast was fun. The best part of this, is that when we were on the catamaran, the humpbacks swam over to our stopped boat, and swam under and around us. It makes you speechless. If you can, go between Dec-April

Sunrise on Haleakela was amazing. We did the bike ride down as well (out of 2137 total passengers on the boat, there were 9 of us that did this tour - if you appreciate the most amazing stargazing, magical sunrises, and feel comfortable on a bike (and don't mind a little speed going around switchbacks coming down the mountain), this tour was awesome....Make sure you bring warm stuff, as it's 20-30F up there and windy (it's about 10000ft elevation). If you can, get a rental car. It makes it very inexpensive and easy to get around the island. Whale watching in Lahina is great ("Ultimate Whale Watch" - Captain Amy is awesome)
Don't Miss: Sunrise on Haleakela. beaches, scenery, whales.

VOLCANOES! When else can you see this stuff?! You can walk on warm lava, put your hand over steam vents....hike through rain forests and lava tubes.
Don't Miss: Volcanoes National Park

Pros: Great way to get a little bit of all the islands
