Went to Kona Brewery, and then shopped for souvenirs: great strip of stores in Kona. Spent afternoon at the beach adjacent to port: you can rent umbrellas and 2 chairs for $29.

This is such a unique port. My family enjoys the beach Hapuna and the Turtles. Kayaking to Cooks bay was breathtaking. Recommend getting a glass bottom boat tour if possible. The marine life is so colorful.

Again, this was a tender port. As with Maui, the tenders were very easy to get to and from the ship. We booked the excursion Kona Coffee, Gold Coast and Cloud Forest Adventure. Much warmer and drier than the Hilo side of the Big Island. We started our adventure at the Kaloko Honokohau National Historical Park known also as the Gold Coast. Our guide made sure that we had water before going out, it is very dry, you are walking on hard lava beds down to the shoreline. We were again able to see Giant Green Sea Turtles. We then went up 3200' to the Cloud Forest. This was absolutely beautiful and so much cooler than down on the shore. Our tour of the Mountain Thunder Kona Coffee Plantation was very informative and tasty as we were able to sample all of their coffees. We also took in some shopping at a very nice area near the pier just past another of the royal residences.

Rented a car and went to the Kona Joe Coffee Company for a tour and also went to Pu'uhonua O Honauna National Park. Great drive and beatiful scenery as well.

Tendered to the shore and walked around a bit. Got awesome shaved ice at Ululani’s inside the Marriott (which is right near the drop off). There was a little beach right near the drop off and we rented an umbrella and chairs. My daughter’s did stand-up paddle-boarding and loved it. Perfect relaxation. Also should have seen the Black/green beach
