You need to take a lifeboat to shore but there is the cool old town right there to explore. And a great mall building with chairs and a perfect breeze you can relax in and watch the wave.

Good place to shop and it was not overly busy.

This is a tendering port so it takes longer to get on shore. If you're short on time this is something to consider.

Another lovely port and got to see dolphins as we tendered over. We just arranged a private tour the night before (we had a group of 9) and I don't think you would have much issue organising something when you get to Port. There is a lovely beach right there as well as shopping. What we saw was quite lovely as we drove from site to site

This is a tourist trap worth only a walk around and then back on the ship.

Kona is a small community but very nice. Don't miss snorkeling at "Turtle Beach". The sea turtles are great.
