Review summary

It was a great experience for a first time cruiser. Friendly, attentive staff, yummy food, lots of opportunity to sightsee on shore.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food is delicious. Dining is either casual or formal--whatever you wish--buffet or sit down. Room service is availble 24/7. And, you have a fridge in your room. You certainly will not go hungry.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Entertainment is provided by the staff and they had a professional comedianin addition. It was entertaining and certainly brought laughter.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The aloha spirit is on board. Staff is always available and helpful. If they do not know the answer to your question, they will find out for you.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship is a town unto itself and seems a bit overwhelming at first, but by the end of the cruise it is your home away from home. It is kept impecable with friendly staff to assist you at every turn.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The lower your room and closer to the center, the less motion you will experience. I stayed in an interior room--adequate for sleeping and dressing, but not for spending time in. But with so much to do on board and off--who wants to stay in their room!!!

Ports of call

Kailua-Kona, Hawaii

3 out of 5
Took the free shuttles for shopping. Activities and shopping are within walking distance.

Hilo, Hawaii

3 out of 5
Take a raincoat, if you take a tour. It rains a lot in Hilo.
Don't Miss: Be sure to see the Volcanic Park.

Nawiliwili, Kauai

5 out of 5
Beautiful island. You will need a car, a tour, or a helicopter ride to see. The opportunity to see a luau is on this island.

Kahului, Maui

5 out of 5
Great place to rent a car and see the sites.
Don't Miss: Be sure to see the Maui Ocean Center and Kaanapali Beach.

Pros: Sampling a little from each island

Cons: Take a sweater as the ship is kept very cold and be sure to take a patch.
