Drove and walked many miles to get within 2 miles of the volcano. Have to be a prepared hiker to get any closer. The drive was fantastic and the walk over the hardened lava was unbelievable. Definitely, a must see.

Drove up on our own to Volcanoe National Park. Worth it, yes. Would I do it again, not sure.

Must see Apapka Falls (we had a luau with Senator Dan Apapka on Oahu). The Orchid Farm is very nice.

Hilo chain of craters. Very exciting and beautiful. Tour was great. Meal included with tour was excellent!
