Excellent port, if the weather is good and you would like a beach day, go straight to the taxis at the front of the port it will cost you €10 to get to a lovely beach... When we was there a dolphin came very close to the shore it was amazing 👌the beach is called Praia de Samil. The taxi will drop you at the taxi rank on the beach which is in the middle... Also when you are ready to go back head to the taxi rank and a taxi will either be there or will come along shortly. There is a bar and restaurant & McDonald's if you choose. A park for the kids and a outside pool...

A great little town, not that much to do. I enjoyed watching the oyster shuckers. I seem to remember drinking a bit too much in a local restaurant as the local beer was lethal 😅

Didn't do an excursion. The town was easy to walk around with several shops and cafés to stop in. For the adventurous, the climb to the top of Monte de O Castro (the easily seen green area up the hill from the port) is fun. Rigorous walk with hundreds of steps and inclines, but the ruins and gardens and the top were nice and the panoramic view was beautiful.

Santiago de Compostela (one hour away in train) is beautiful. The tours are expensive, just ask where is the train station and the tickets are like 9 euros per person round trip, and Santiago is easy to walk it.

It was a sunday again so took a p&o tour to Toja . It was a nice run out then caught the little train in toja as part of the trip. The train went round the little island there wasnt much to see but it was a nice change.

Really nice port, flat around the ship area but if you’re able, walk up to the fort. It’s about an hour walking mostly up very very steep steps and hills. The views are immense though. And it’s easy coming down after. Also, take some water with you. There are plenty of places to eat and drink around the town, lovely clean and modern plaza areas. Perfect for a single day stop, but not loads to do otherwise. Really enjoyed our day here.

Excellent short walk of ship gets you in town centre I can thoroughly recommend going off and doing it for yourself. no guide needed, you just have to walk and not get ferried about by coach.

Nice to get off and have a short walk. We didn’t do an excursion.
