Definitely worth getting off of the ship for! You will not be disappointed! You can get some incredible photos here so it’s worth taking a decent camera to truly relive the experience through photos!!!

This was a beautiful island. We did the Hot Springs & Botanical Gardens excursion which left time to visit Ponta Delgada. The gardens were stunning.

Loved this port. This was a first visit for us. We chose to seek a tour other than what the ship offered. A gentleman approached us with an island tour for only 35 Euro per person. He had a nice sized mini van and was a fabulous tour guide. We will definitely look him up during future visits. His name is Jorge Dias and he is affiliated with www.kwazores.pt. His number is +351910361369. Tell him Christie from Colorado says Hi!!!

Our favorite place to be actually. Everything in walking distance. Great shops. Found an amazing art museum that was just 2 euro to get in and so worth it. Went to the marintime museum too and loved it as well.

The Azores are a must see. Enjoyed a four wheel Jeep tour and that is the way to see this hilly, green land. Loved the area and plan to return someday.

Green tour and eco-lovers paradise! The Azores are beautiful, friendly and a great place to visit. Ponta Delgada is a walking friendly city with no need for car or bus if you're spending the day downtown. There's plenty to see just strolling around between the parks, churches, squares and cafes. The waterfront pier is only a few years old and is filled with shopping and food from cafes and gelato bars to restaurants. We took a 4x4 trip around the western crater and the town of Sete Cidades and would love to come back and spend a week hiking, biking and swimming.

This is my very favorite port, every. We intend to return here for vacation. Scenery was incredibly beautiful. We took a private jeep tour with the most engaging guide. He took us to a local restaurant and had what my husband calls the best steak of his entire life -- and yes we're from Texas.
