Review summary

All in all this was a great cruise even with 15 to 20 foot waves. Never experienced any problems or discomfort.

Embarkation

Embarkation was very streamlined. This was our first time in Tampa and all went very well.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food & drink is always excellent with RCC

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We attended the nightly shows held in the theater. Swimming, fitness centers always relaxing.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Entertainment was top notch as always

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
This was our 16th cruise with RCC. We choose to stay with them because we know that the staff and service will be exactly what we enjoy. I found the staff to be extremely attentive.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Even though the Brillance of the Seas is an older Radiance class ship, we thought it was well maintained. It was going into dry dock after this transatlantic for some sprucing up and tech upgrades.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We found this large ocean-view cabin wonderful. We've had insides, balconies and rooms that overlook the promenade. We felt this room was more comfortable and had more storage space than the others.

Ports of call

Tampa, Florida

Easy to get to and easy to maneuver around.

Ponta Delgada, Azores

Loved this port. This was a first visit for us. We chose to seek a tour other than what the ship offered. A gentleman approached us with an island tour for only 35 Euro per person. He had a nice sized mini van and was a fabulous tour guide. We will definitely look him up during future visits. His name is Jorge Dias and he is affiliated with www.kwazores.pt. His number is +351910361369. Tell him Christie from Colorado says Hi!!!

Cobh (Cork), Ireland

5 out of 5
Found the port to be easily accessible from the ship. The train station into Cork was right there. Several shops and eateries along with the history of the Titanic.

Dublin, Ireland Did not visit port

Weather did not permit proper docking of ship

Dunmore East (Waterford), Ireland Did not visit port

Weather did not permit proper docking of ship

Amsterdam, Netherlands

5 out of 5
What can I say about Amsterdam, it's a fascinating city with all kinds of people. I would describe Amsterdam as a bit edgy. Easy to get around using public transportation.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very easy, we keep our bags with us rather than setting out the night before. Just personal preference. Enjoyed a fine breakfast in the Windjammer and then proceeded off the ship with no trouble at all.
