Review summary

This was the most magical cruise of our lives. We enjoyed every minute and made some very good friends on this cruise.

Embarkation

Marvelous experience. How could it not be -- we were leaving on a 17 day cruise!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Great dining. We particularly enjoyed Chop's. Giovanni's served great food but I did not care for the atmosphere in that restaurant. Main dining room was very good; I especially enjoyed breakfast there.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
I loved the spa. I had my hair done twice; a manicure and a terrific massage.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We thoroughly enjoyed the stage shows.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
These folks could not do enough for us; very dedicated to their jobs, professional also but so much fun to talk with.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Great layout and design. The ship looked a wee bit tired here and there.

Cabin / Stateroom

Very comfortable home for seventeen days. We enjoyed having the balcony a lot.

Ship tip

Enjoy yourself; meet people.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

We live here; no excursion.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Very interesting. This was a very hot day and we walked a lot. While the day was interesting, I have no desire to go to San Juan again.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Beautiful port; we walked around and enjoyed the scenery. We'd intended to go on a snorkeling excursion but were too exhausted from our San Juan walking day.

Ponta Delgada, Azores

This is my very favorite port, every. We intend to return here for vacation. Scenery was incredibly beautiful. We took a private jeep tour with the most engaging guide. He took us to a local restaurant and had what my husband calls the best steak of his entire life -- and yes we're from Texas.

Malaga, Spain

5 out of 5
Oh this was great fun also. We toured the Alhambra Palace and thoroughly enjoyed the day and history.

Alicante, Spain

We roamed about on our own; took a taxi around and then the Hop on bus. Lovely city.

Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands

5 out of 5
We loved Mallorca. We took a tour around Mallorca and visited Valldemossa as well.

Barcelona, Spain

5 out of 5
We met friends in Barcelona and stayed four days after the cruise ended. We were picked up at the port by a guide and all went to Monsteratt for the day. We saw many Gaudi sights, the fountain, ate amazing food -- remarkable.

Disembarkation

We had purchased the Key and were off the ship long before our guide arrived to pick us up. We had a great departure breakfast in Chops Restaurant before leaving the ship. Easy departure.
