Naples itself is a little scary ... but Pompeii is nice. Caprii would be nicer.

We took a hydrafoil ferry over to Sorento straight from the pier we pulled in to, rented scooters and drove the Amalfi Coast. Unbelievable! Then we returned to Naples and had "real" pizza from a restaurant right around the corner from where the ship parked. Get their version - it's unlike anything in the states. Way good!

Although Naples itself isn't great. Very noisy and bustling city. Pompei is a must see. Get a guide, we did the excursion. You will miss the best bits if you go on your own. This place will live in my memory forever.

This was a terrific excursion down Southern Italy to the Amalfi Coast. It was not just beautiful, it was a buffet for the eyes. It was an all day tour and we thourghly enjoyed it

I just walked around town. It was fine. Getting off and on the ship was easy. Naples is infamous for its pick pockets. so I had been warned numerous times by all the Italians I had met to be extra careful with my belongings. The Wake Up Show also warned of the pick pockets.
