You can't go wrong here. The Amalfi Coast, by tour or by train, Pompeii, Herculaneum, or just Naples itself.

We did hop on hop off bus which was completely chaotic and unorganised. Nothing to do with Princess. Naples grotty. Should have gone on a tour out of Naples.

Naples and Sorrento by bus tour. Sorrento was very busy, but to be fair, we didn't get much time to wander. I'd go again and explore a lot and further away from the main, touristy area. Naples seemed fine, but we only got out to eat Marguerita Pizza (Naples is the origin of this pizza); unfortunately the staff at Ristorante La Piazzeta made it clear that they wanted us out quickly. The pizza left much to be desired - we'd had much better in Barcelona - adequate tomato sauce, non-existent basil and just one small piece of cheese per quarter of the pizza. Pretty city, but we needed more time to explore. I would take a different excursion next time - Pompeii was beyond amazing, according to others we talked to.

Pompeii was very interesting. Amalfi was fabulous. I would go back to this area and tour more of the Amalfi coastal towns

Forget Sorrento....if never been, go to Positano and take in Pompeii. Capri is absolutely wonderful and worth doing on your own....no need for the ship tour.

Make sure to leave plenty of time for Pompeii. It can get very crowded in the day. Make sure to get a Margarita Pizza in Sorrento. It's better there.
