Don't pay for the shuttle bus which is $12 per person. If you are parked near the rental car office, take the free shuttle they offer. It is just past the paid shuttle from Celebrity. Celebrity will not tell you this.

Wished we'd done an excursion to a volcano, but made the most of the day. About a mile walk into town (Arrecife) from the port--all on one sidewalk, so it wasn't complicated. A couple of historic sites on the seafront (an old drawbridge and castle) and some shopping. Some high-end stores, cafes, outlets, and souvenir shops, so there's something for everyone.

Walkable into Arrecife Town. Beautiful Marina with shops and cafes. We took the hop on hop off sightseeing train which let us get around and see things which were slightly further away

Easy access, just walk off the ship and 20 minutes later you're in town. On a whim we visited the Cactus History Museum.... then walked further along the waterfront and found El Principe Cafe for lunch. Definitely take the waiter's advice and have the fish 'caught this morning'. Order a a glass of Vino Tinto and try the Dorata with fresh tomatoes and Spanish potatos.

We visited the Jamel's Del Agua which was incredible. It was a volcanic tunnel that is a total of 4 miles long. From there we went to Mirador Del Rio the most famous high up view point of the island. This was a unique experience.

Lovely little place to visit. We got the shuttle bus which really was a waste of time. Could have walked it in 20 mins. We had a lovely sunny day to walk around the shops. Nice little market stalls near the marina. Overall a wonderful day.

Super nice tour to Playa del Carmen with lots to do, but, eat and drink! Our tour dropped off on the middle of the business and in front of the beach. Love it!
