The museum right by the ships dock is well worth a visit. Plenty of shops and cafes and a nice marina.

Very easy to get to from where we docked, but the town has gone down hill a little lots of the pubs have closed and the shops.

Not the most photogenic port in the world but it does have some plus points! Easy to walk around the town with a large indoor shopping centre. Bargains to be had in the supermarket with cheap alcohol. Make sure you don't end up with wine that might taste better sprinkled on chips. Access from this port to the wartime cemeteries and D-Day landing locations also an option.

More to do in port than we expected. We spent most of the day looking around and although a longish walk it's worth walking up to the fort great views across Cherbourg.

We've visited Cherbourg many times so stayed onboard ship. Cite de la Mer admission fee has doubled in price post Covid. Worth visiting to while away an hour or two though.
