Loved, loved, loved this port. Took a tour with Spain Day Tours who took us to some viewpoints and also a tour of the historical areas. We had a wonderful lunch of tapas and then visited the Guggenheim. Our guide was Gaetano. He was great!

Wonderful City. Did not find the Guggenheim amazing. I have appreciation for the Masters vs. modern and if I did this trip over again would have gone to the museum with paintings by the Masters. Also the cruise ship was docked too far from town requiring a 40 min drive which I wish they made public in the destination information when selecting the cruise.

Bilbao city is 25 minutes from the ship’s dock but shuttles are provided and often free of charge. The city is nice, easily navigated and very clean but unfortunately mostly closed on Sundays.

Lovely city. We took the shuttl from the port into the city centre. It was an easy walk from there to the Guggenheim, to which entry was free to as it was some sort of anniversary for them. We have two small kids so it wasn’t great for them but the art was spectacular. We then took an open top bus ride in glorious sunshine around the main sights of the city. We could’ve spent more time in the city but the kids were tired. Overall great place to visit. The tourist information centre were very helpful aswell. Located just outside the Guggenheim.
