This is a beautiful port. My favorite part of other countries is the old architecture. This city had so much beautiful old architecture. There was shopping and eateries. A lot of outside eating. We went 2 blocks off the tourist area and it was like being in the ghetto. Stay where the other tourist are.

You can do this by walking off the boat. No tour needed. See the Roman Theater and walk around in the center of town.

After Barcelona, Monte Carlo, Florence and Rome it was nice to wander round a town without the crowds.

2nd time in this beautiful port. Took the scenic lift from Gisbert (a short walk from ship) to Concepcion Castle. 4.25€ pays for the lift plus entrance to the castle/tower. Worth it just for the views of Cartegena.

Lovely port, very clean, good shopping, as it was a Monday, apparently museums closed, though they did open the amphitheatre, don’t know if it was meant to be open, ship within easy distance of town, a few minutes walk.

Just a stroll of the boat to the town centre ,very relaxed and quiet town,cheap to buy things , enjoyed alot would definitely go back here .

You can walk into town very easily and see many of the top attractions w/o a tour. Only port I would say that about.
