Took the Holland America tour. A very beautiful, historical city. There was too little time explore, shop & eat on our own. The guide over explained everything. This is the beer capitol of the world. Another place we hope to see again this year.

Nice bought. It is fairly easy to get to Bruges for chocolates. If. Few share a taxi or minibus which you can pick up in the port it is fairly cheap. Or you can get to blakenburg, for chocolates.

Wife bought chocolate. Visited villages and country side. Learned how land was reclaimed from lakes. Very interesting.

Trip to Ghent. This was a the city which provided the greatest surprise. With out a doubt this is a must city in Europe. Small river in the city center, fortresses, beautiful churches.

Had to take a bus or train to Bruges. Great city. Very walkable. Eat the waffles & chocolate. Took a canal cruise.

Very quaint city with cobble stone streets. It was very walkable. We did the ship’s tour which was guided in the morning and free time in the afternoon. We did a tour of the de maan brewery. Lots of narrow, steep steps but beautiful view of the city from the roof and a beer is included in the tour.
