We took the train to Monaco for 4.80 euros return. We got to see the Grand Prix on the qualifying day. We were told by the ship exursion desk that everything was closed and it would be impossible to get to Monaco and back. They were VERY mistaken and I am glad that I did not follow their advise. The train runs every 30 minutes to Eze, Monaco, Nice and Cannes. Some of our fellow shipmates took the train to Monaco and then back to Nice, then back to Villefranche-Sur-Mer, for around 10 euros. The transportation system is very reliable. Some shipmates also took the bus on their own. When you take the tender to shore the information office has plenty of information. There is not much to do in Villefranche, but it is a beautiful picturesque town. The beach has beautiful water and was quite warm for May.

Good not as much to do. Went to Monte Carlo. Beautiful area, too cold for beach. Did things on our own.

This was a tender transfer. We took a train to Nice, which was easy to doon your own and cost less than €8 for two adult returns. Ship excursions wew really expensive.

Absolutely stunning port, such a beautiful little village - probably my favourite port. We didn’t do an excursion, we just go off the boat and had a wander around.

Lovely port. We jumped onto the train to visit Monaco on our own. There was a great Hop-on Hop-off bus in Monte Carlo that covered everything we wanted to see. Lots of fun.

Probably our most favorite port. The town of Villefranche itself is very lovely, and it was a great jumping off point for our visits to Eze and Nice.
