Our favourite port - very pretty. Get on the train and visit Nice or Monaco. it's easy and cheaper to do your own thing. Don't forget to explore the back streets of Villefranches, it's really beautiful.

Take time to see Old Nice, Nice, and Monte Carlo. They are all so beautiful and we loved the interaction with the French people. They were very kind and eager to help.

My favourite port of all.. beautiful views all around the bay. such a pretty place . I love the tender boat style docking.. and easy to get to Monaco, nice or Cannes, or pretty enough to stay in villfranche

Fantastic port. Absolutely beautiful place. We walked to the train station (about 10 mins) got a return ticket to Monaco/Monte Carlo, it was €6.20 return each, trains run every 30 mins. They are very busy trains so be prepared to stand. It’s only 4 stops to Monaco and takes about 20 mins. Once there we walked to Monte Carlo which took about 10 mins, saw the famous casino and had a stroll around. Went back to Monaco, visited the palace €8 admittance, not much to see in there to be honest and no photo taking. Next visit was the cathedral, lovely - ladies cover your shoulders or you can’t go inside. Saw Princess Grace grave and Rainier III. We then walked around, admiring how the other half live, vast amounts of wealthy on display, amazing cars and boats. Very beautiful place and recommend a visit. Easy to do on your own from port. No need for an excursion.

Unbelievably postcard gorgeous village! Our tour guide picked us up at the pier and we had the most memorable day visiting this village as well as Nice, Eze, Monte Carlo and Cap Ferrat.

If you moor in the bay the view of the town and scenery of the hills surrounding the area is terrific

Loved this port! Did not book an excursion, but rather took a taxi to Nice where we rented chairs and an umbrella and spent the day on a private beach in front of one of the local restaurants. Then we walked around, had some gelato, and took a taxi back to port. A beautiful, busy place with wonderful architecture and spectacular vistas.
